Jefferson Seafood Shack has proudly served the community for over 26 years and has been a trusted vendor at the German Coast Farmers Market for more than 15 years.
When asked what inspired you to begin your business, owner, Arthur Joachim responded: 
I got started at a very young age. When I was growing up, Harold Gourgues lived next door to my parents. In 1972, when I was five years old, I began going with him to pick up and deliver seafood. As I got older, I worked in his retail store and learned the business from the ground up. At fifteen, after getting my driver’s license, I started working after school. I stayed there gaining hands-on experience until I opened my own business in 2000.
